Dr. Kelsey Sukovaty is a native Iowa, having grown up on a farm near Manson. She attended the University of Northern Iowa where she was a member of the track and field team and graduated with a degree in Biology. She went on to obtain her Doctorate in Podiatric Medicine and Surgery from Des Moines University and then completed her rigorous surgical residency training in Waterloo, Iowa. She practiced in the Cedar Valley area immediately following residency where she worked to train surgical residents as well.

Dr. Sukovaty is elated to be back near her hometown and treating the community members as a foot and ankle surgeon. She is trained in all aspects of podiatry from ingrown toenails to total ankle replacements and all ages. She enjoys treating the wide range of podiatric ailments both conservatively and surgically and can offer complete foot and ankle care. 

Dr. Sukovaty is very active in the profession of podiatry, currently serving on the Iowa Podiatric Medical Society Board of Directors. She was also asked by the Governor’s office to sit on the Iowa Board of Podiatry as well. She continues to volunteer her time for these boards attending numerous meetings as well as educating surgical residents. 

Her wide array of interests include: total ankle replacement surgery, foot and ankle trauma and fracture care, arthritis of the foot and ankle, Achilles tendon injuries, amputation, ingrown toenails, heel pain, ankle surgery, arthroscopic surgery, bone and join injections, bunions and hammertoes, chronic wound healing, diabetic foot care, foot and ankle reconstruction/surgery, fracture care, heel pain, infections, injections, Moron’s Neuroma, nerve entrapment surgery, neuropathy, orthotics, osteoarthritis, reconstructive joint surgery and running injuries.
